Early morning at Victoria Park

Have been planning a run inspired shoot down at Victoria Park for a while now, got together with LDN Brunch Club founder Stephen nice and early to catch the early morning Autumn light.  Couldn't have asked for better weather with a perfectly crisp Autumn morning.  Had a blitz about found some good spots to get some nice shots.

For me a big challenge with a shoot like this is trying to find good locations that make the images interesting, this can be difficult in a big open park where you have so much space to choose from.  On this particular shoot I was looking for different lines that help draw your eye to the subject, in this case the canal and pavement helped me create leading lines and frame Stephen nicely.  Also trying to focus on more than just the shot and create more detailed images that wouldn't be great on their own but when put next to other images they make sense.

Was shooting pretty early in the morning so the light was great, we had about 40 minutes of great light and once the sun was fully up I felt we got everything we wanted from the shoot.  I was shooting  on my Canon 1Dxii  and Canon 70-200 2.8i and Tamron 24-70 2.8 lens,  absolutely love these lenses, particularly the 70-200 which for me is an epic lens.
